Episode 151: This Is Basically SVU’s Rashomon (S9E3 Impulsive)

This installment of SVU pits very recognizable teacher against an also recognizable student in a he-said-she-gonorrhea'd-me/she-said-he-raped-me exercise in who can we believe for the Unit and the audience. Sure, the teacher is Sabrina/Clarissa, but if we know anything about this show, it's hard to believe the potentially stuntcasted. Episode 74: Butt Blood on a Calculator (S9E13 Unorthodox)

This week, the Randomizer (thanks, Flett) blessed us with an unforgettable episode of Law & Order SVU ("Unorthodox" S9E13). It starts with an absolute bang and then careens madly between isolationist ultra-orthodox Jewish sects and porn addicted preteens. Of course, we Munchers go even further afield as we question the existence of an upper peninsula, rank our favorite ape films, and uncover the supernatural engine that powers Casey Novak's courtroom success. This is truly an episode worth savoring. Enjoy!

Episode 5: Who’s the Perfect Victim for a 90-pound Twerp Perp? (S4E19 Juvenile)

The Randomizer bestows upon us the gift of "Juvenile," Episode 19 from Season 4. The Unit faces a real doozy of a case when an unlikely pair of tweens breaks in to the improbable apartment/grow-house of a terminal cancer patient, who gets kid-raped and stabbed 38 times with a paring knife. As the investigation and trial proceed, we're exposed to the wonderful world of dumpster markers, azoospermia, and delicious ruminations on vomit, before being forced to reckon with the existential quandary of our times: who is the perfect victim for a 90-pound rapist?
