Episode 224: We Know Whether JD Vance Shaves, Or Not, In His Grindr Profile (S25E12 Marauder)
In our first brush with Season 25 of SVU, we are immediately thrown into a deep backstory flashback featuring a character hitherto unknown to Munch My Benson. If that wasn't jarring enough, a certain hit single from the seminal '90s album Pocket Full Of Kryptonite features heavily in said flashback, which obviously means the Munchie Boys have A LOT of reminiscing to do about Spin Doctors. In a shocking twist, Vice Presidential candidate--and couch lover--JD Vance might have made an appearance here as well. Lots to unpack folks.
Episode 223: Why Don’t They Have Someone Sexily Peel off a CPAP? (S24E15 King Of The Moon)
There are strange eps of the longest running primetime drama in TV history, but none come close to matching what happens this week. To say that the last 4 minutes of this Law & Order: Special Victims Unit are unlike any moment in the show's 25+ years of existence would be an obscene understatement. Guest star Bradley Whitford goes for it in ways that you simply are not prepared to see.
Episode 208: Trial Chief Ghislaine Maxwell (S24E4 The Steps We Cannot Take)
A DIY renovation leads to a kidnapped daughter which leads to yet another case referencing the Ariel Castro and Josef Fritzl kidnapping cases. This one introduces us to notorious welder, Elias Olsen, who we at Munch My Benson first met in his final appearance in "Bad Things" (S24E21). Can Grace Muncy's colorblindness and Fin's Eric Adams impression save us from Graziano fatigue?
Episode 132: I Just Assumed He Was Bald Because of the Fanny Pack (S24E2 The One You Feed)
This week we meet a pair of new detectives, a new showrunner, and a perfect family from Ohio who have the worst possible trip to the Harry Potter store in Union Square. We have way too much stuff to talk about, including Josh's various brushes with death and Pavement, Adam's exotic transit options, why you wouldn't want John Edwards summoning your dead family members, Fin's rapidly expanding consciousness, and, of course, how to wear a fanny pack without becoming a mark for ne'er-do-wells. We also meet a minor character who expands the greater Munchiverse exponentially. Until we rolled this one, we weren't even sure our Randomizer could pick from the latest season, so here's a big plug for the best episode spinner on the web: episode.lol
